The PET main raw material of ethylene glycol (EG) and terephthalic acid for a large number of fibers can be divided into non-engineering plastics and engineering plastics grade two categories.
Non-engineering plastics grade is mainly used for fiber, beverage bottles, sheet resistance, baking food containers and other.
Engineering plastics grade PET organic solvent resistance, good weatherability. The disadvantage is that the slow crystallization rate, molding processing difficulties, the molding temperature is high, the production cycle is long, the impact of poor performance. Usually, by enhancing the filling, blending, and other methods to improve their processability and physical properties, the glass fiber reinforcing effect is obvious, improving the resin rigidity, heat resistance, chemical resistance, electrical properties and weathering resistance. Taken to add a nucleating agent and crystallization promoting agent means to improve the drawbacks of slow crystallization.
